Hello Paris Live Club members and vive la rvolution,
We're in the month of Bastille Day when the French mark the start of the revolution. Well here at Paris Live the 11th of July was a significant date in our history as it marked the second month we were on air: vive la radio rosbif.
Guests
Down here at the Paris Live Radio studio in Cit Veron weve got great guests passing through every day. Casting our net far and wide weve brought you the best French and the best English speaking musicians. Tryo, the French rockers with a reggae influence chewed the fat on the Afternoon Overdrive, James Taylor, chilled with Robbie and Natasha, and Ken Stringfellow from R.E.M.. In July look out for our interview with Robert Smith of The Cure.
Prizes
We've also determined to give away as much as we can get our hands on - in June the lucky winners have been able to play golf at the Domaine Bellesbat, with Fabrice winning the night where he will be wined and dined in their luxury hotel. Listen out for more golf giveaways in July! But there aren't just prizes for the wannabe Tiger Woods we've got Family Giveaways to Le Mer de Sable and France Miniature.
Improvements to your favourite website
July sees exciting changes to www.parislive.fm as our Paris Guide stretches its wings. Go online now and use the Concerts section. Youll know which concerts to go to, which festivals to camp at, and the best soires the Parisian night has to offer. One which catches my eye is the Festival des Vielles Charrues where theres something for everyones tastes - with artists ranging from Bowie to The Streets and Patti Smith to IAM.
Our guide will become your Paris bible and by the end of this month well give you the definitive lowdown on Paris Clubs.
One thing that continues from May is that we are getting press coverage with large pieces in Le Figaro and the International Herald Tribune. Theyve been talking about our AM license - yes, we are in discussions with the CSA so that we can be coming to you over the airwaves in September.
So to our 30 000 daily listeners you keep tuning in and well keep you amused, informed and entertained.

THIS MONTH: FOCUS ON THE AFTERNOON OVERDRIVE ?
PLR : Which guest has been the most interesting for you in June ?
Nat : R.E.M.'smulti talented Ken Springfellow and his strange sense of humour and dubious obsessions, he really had me in stitches !
Robbie : Well Im still waiting for our first female guest on the Overdrive but as far as down to earth attitude and passion for his work is concerned it must be James Taylor, for a man with such a history it was a pleasure to have him as a guest.
PLR : What does PARIS LIVE RADIO not know about you ?
Robbie : That I was a professional Oyster diver from the Gower until I saw a giant squid while in action.
Nat : That Im really tall, blonde and big breasted.
PLR : What was your top tune for the month of June?
Robbie : An oldie that most certainly rocked the studios and created a lot of feed-back from our listeners, Eddie Bo 'Hook and Swing'.
PLR : And the best tune coming up ?
Nat: Beastie Boys 'Ch-check it out', following a quiet period you can always rely on them to produce something wicked.

From 8 till 11 The Breakfast Show have been giving you guys more of their banter, chat, and laughs. Listeners love Angela's delicious voice and live in fear of Paul's bad joke of the day, yet can't explain why they laugh everytime.
Paul : My challenge to our listener's is to bring it on! If you think you've got what it takes then call, if you dare, and beat Angela in Fastermind, the quiz where you have to get it wrong to get it right.
Angela : And you'll also get the chance to win tickets to France Miniature -if you beat me.
PLR : Myles what's up in Downtime?
Still bringing you the best in underground electronica. calling out for the best bedroom DJs to send me your mixes
