To date, no probe sent into space could prove the existence of traces of extraterrestrial life. However, in official circles it has been common knowledge for a long time that there is in fact life out there. Since the end of the last century there has been talk in concert halls about these four strange, rowdy creatures. The attack was well prepared. It all began when three clones landed on the other side of the Atlantic and began to learn the language of Shakespeare, they soon adapted their way of life in order to better fit in with the culture of the country, this saw them cultivating punk rock n roll made in the U.S.A.: Bad Religion and NoFX. After the socialisation process was complete, Motor ED (vocals/guitar), Trint (vocals/guitar) and Daff (percussion) decided to continue the colonization of the planet. Next stop: France.
It was here that they recruited a new and final member, Big Jim, a true wonder boy on the bass, and the quartet traversed metropolitan France, listening to the likes of Burning Heads and NRA between destinations.
The rumours quickly spread, all of them complimentary. At the dawn of the 21st Century UMFM had two musical achievements, Welcome to. (2000) and Vote For Me (2001), both of which betrayed their true intentions, to conquer France, the World, the Universe. The quartet of mutants couldnt leave it at that. On their next project, the Unco were given the opportunity to record the Ep Kill The Fuse under the wing of Steve Albini (Nirvana, Dyonisos) thus showing there acoustic abilities, yet another musical genre but still the same group.
To develop their new UFO sound they returned to Ryan Greene, the king of Californian rock n roll punk (NoFx, No Use For A Name, Lagwagon). After three weeks of hard labour, joys, tensions and exhaustion, they were armed with their next weapon, Noise Pollution. So watch the skies, the CD racks, the walls in your town and the concert halls, the Men from mars will be visiting you, it is written! David Vincent was not insane. Its no good fighting, its already too late. |
