George Clinton is just cool: his group the Parliaments was originally a barbershop doowap ensemble in the 60s, but his experimentations with sounds forever separated him from Motown. The man invented funk and lay down the ground works of modern hip hop, and is touring with most of the original P Funk members. At his concert you can get your freak on and be politically, or should I say psychedelically, aware all at the same time. |
