Senor Coconut is one of those crazily kitsch musicians that wins you over in the end. On his previous album he paid an electro latin jazz tribute to Kraftwerk, the original German electronic artists. He is back with a new album out on San Francisco label Emperor Norton Records (who are responsable for giving us Ladytron and Felix da Housecat) which has swinging versions of Beat it and Riders on the storm . His latin drum'n'bass is some of the best music ever made by a man in a mariachi outfit. If you liked Dimitri from Paris, bring your caracas down to the Nouveau Casino for his american counterpart.
